How to prepare for the ytt:

There is no one way, or right way, to practice yoga and yoga is not only about the physical, asana, practice. Therefore we do not require you to have a strong physical practice before you attend training. In other words, if you can’t do arm balances, don’t feel that flexible, and do chaturanga from your knees, that is more than okay! There is no length of time in which you “should” have been practicing for. If you have an open mind and open heart, you are ready.

Please keep in mind the daily practices are required to complete your training, so it is encouraged to practice meditation and asana 1-3 times per week, leading up to the training. Listening to your body, and modifying your practice will be strongly encouraged. The feelvana manual will be sent out before the training as required reading so that each participant has a solid understanding of the covered topics before beginning the in-person intensive.

By attending this training, you are able to:

-take responsibility for your needs

-emotionally regulate yourself

-competently sit in and handle stillness

-create instead of consume an experience

Please Note:

In this training we have zero tolerance for racism and homophobia.
